Negative Edge

The mirror site of a Vanishing Edge Pool or waterscape vanishing into the horizon is aesthetically beautiful.  This look is achieved by one end of the pool or water feature not having the same size wall.   Water spills over an edge where it is captured by a ledge then recycled back into your pool which creates the illusion of continuing on forever.

Zero Entry (Beach Entry)

Also know as: Infinity Edge, Zero Edge, Disappearing Edge

Definition: a body of water with no definable edge.

These terms are used for pools and water features alike.  These have been in existence for many years however with builders getting more creative with their uses they are turning a lot of heads and becoming increasingly more poplar.

Lap Pools

Here’s what most people think of if they think of a lap pool:
  • Simple Rectangle
  • One Color
  • One depth

Those ideas could not be more wrong!

There are actesticly pleasing pools out there that serve as lap pools for one member of the family while other members of the family enjoy other activities.
Lap pools can include lots of features that make them more multi-use:
Caves, Grotto, Diving boards, Slides, Barstools, Sundecks, Ledges, and many other accessories.  Also, they can be any shape that your landscape will tolerate.  To sum it up Your Lap Pool (built by us) just needs a straight line in your pool it can serve as a lap pool.
The lap pool is the perfect place to exercise. Think about what you want out of your exercise. You want it to burn calories and increase your cardio-vascular capabilities. You’ll get a great aerobic workout in a lap pool. Of course other exercises like running or jazzercise will do this as well. But they aren’t the complete package. That’s because you also want your workout to be low-impact. In other words, you don’t want your joints to take a pounding like you’ll get by street running. This is especially true as you get older. Who needs the joint aches and pains just because you want to get in shape. You’ll have no such problems in a lap pool. You may also want to increase your strength. Resistance training is the key to this, and it’s why weight lifting is so popular. But the water provides great resistance as well, therefore increasing your strength.
For all of these reasons, the lap pool is quickly increasing in popularity among serious athletes in training facilities, but they are also gaining in popularity for home use. If needed they can be built with a narrow footprint–making them easy to clean and regulate. Traditional lap poolsdon’t take up the space of traditional pools. Lap pools can be built indoors or out.

Sport Pools

Wanna Play? A Sport Pools is the name for an activity based pool–the place where games and play happen in the water.
Is it a swimming pool on steroids? No way! But there is just so much fun and silliness to be had when you have your own sports pool. There are many names that come to mind when thinking of this kind of pool. Some call it a sports pool, a play pool, ‘fun in the sun’ pool, volleyball pool, or just plain swimming pool.
Whatever you decide to call it, a sports pool is a great choice for an active family. There’s usually plenty to do for everyone and they are relatively safer than most typical swimming pools.
  • A sports pool is usually no deeper than five feet. The two ends of the pool are shallow enough to stand waist deep in with the deepest part being in the middle, this makes it ideal to play in since no one will have the unfair “on the tip of my toes”, or “I can’t swim” disadvantage.
  • Some of the most popular uses for a sports pool include water games such as volleyball, basketball, water polo, and the infamous “Marco!….Polo!”.
  • You can also use your pool as an exercise pool (water arobics) and to swim laps. That is an excellent way to get your cardiovascular system up and running.
  • There are also many accessories that go very well with a sports pool, for example, a water slide can be added for some “extra fun”. Typically, the middle of a sports swimming pool will be the deepest, therefore, it would the ideal spot to land from the water slide. All you have to do is sit back and watch the smiles abound.

There are virtually endless possibilities with a sports pool, I mean, play pool..no, wait…’fun in the sun’ pool. Well, whatever… just get a sports pool and have a blast!
